OBJECTIVE:
CONTINUE TO BUILD INDIVIDUAL SOCCER SKILLS, WHILE FOCUSING ON HAVING FUN PLAYING SOCCER. INTRODUCE RESPECT FOR TEAMMATES AND COACHES.
PROCESS:
Build individual player development through skill building activities. Encourage players of all skill levels to work hard to improve soccer play. Introduce the concept to players of practicing on their own between practices. Tactical soccer skills, such as dribbling, passing, and shooting will be the main focus of the program.
EXPECTED PLAYING TIME:
The goal is to provide even playing time at a variety of positions. Participation in practice is expected and can affect playing time.
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
After participating in the Blaze U9-10 program, individual players should have a better understanding of the game of soccer and how to be a team player. They will learn game play through RDYSL league games and Rochester Area tournament games.
OTHER INFORMATION:
There will be a full (12-14 games) RDYSL league schedule played at this level. Expect competitive play at this level. Players of all levels and abilities are welcome and encouraged to play.
U11-U12 TEAMS

OBJECTIVE:
STRENGTHEN TECHNICAL SKILLS, INTRODUCE TACTICAL SKILLS, AND LEARN TO LOVE THE GAME OF SOCCER.
PROCESS:
Build individual player development through skill building activities, while introducing team play. Players of all skill levels to work hard to improve soccer play. Participation in practice is expected.
EXPECTED PLAYING TIME: Every player will play in every game. Players will play a variety of positions based on coaches’ discretion. Players will play at least 25% of the game, subject to participation in practice and behavior.
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Individual players should have a better understanding of the game of soccer, understand how to play as a team, and have a respect for their team mates and coaches. They will learn game play through RDYSL league games and Rochester area tournament games, becoming more competitive as they progress.
OTHER INFORMATION:
There will be a full (12-14 games) RDYSL league schedule played at this level. This is an introduction to more competitive play. Players of all levels and abilities are welcome and encouraged to play. At this level, there may be a division of players based on individual skill level. Players will placed on skill appropriate teams. Every player at this level will be evaluated each year during the winter session. This evaluation will determine team placement for the RDYSL season. Player evaluation and team placement will be clearly communicated to each parent/player prior to the spring practice sessions.
U13-U17 TEAMS

OBJECTIVE:
THE MAIN FOCUS IS ON BUILDING TEAM SOCCER SKILLS AND TACTICAL PROFICIENCY. OUR GOAL IS TO FIELD COMPETITIVE SOCCER TEAMS.
PROCESS:
Build team development through tactical and strategy based activities. Players will be expected to improve soccer play through hard work, both in practice and between practices. Team soccer play will be the main focus of the program.
EXPECTED PLAYING TIME:
Playing time will be based on fitness, ability, and commitment. The responsibility is on the player to earn their playing time.
EXPECTED OUTCOME
After participating in the Blaze U13-17 program, individual players should be proficient soccer players. Players should be prepared to play on school teams.
OTHER INFORMATION:
There will be a full (12-14 games) RDYSL league schedule played at this level. This is competitive play and only competitive teams will be fielded.
