BLAZE TRAVEL FAQs

The Blaze season runs from April through the first week of August.  In addition most coaches will run practice indoors once per week from November through April.  Once the season begins and the weather breaks, coaches will practice more often.  The average is 2-3 soccer activities (i.e. 2 practices/1 game or 2 games/1 practice) per week. Games are scheduled from the middle of May through the end of July.  Most age groups play a 12 game season.

Yes!  We understand and encourage kids to play other sports.  We have agreements with the baseball/softball and lacrosse programs to try and avoid conflicts.  Games and practices will overlap, but you can feel free to participate in multiple sports. We just ask that you be up front with both teams about your commitment.

Generally, coaches are very understanding. At the older ages, U13 and above, practice time may affect playing time. While we want players and families to be dedicated, we understand that there are many demands on a family’s time.  There are typically no issues with taking vacations, missing time for other sports, or just needing a night off.  We just ask that you let your coach know in advance, if possible, and that you remember you are part of a team.

We try not to cut players unless absolutely necessary.  We place kids on teams that are appropriate for their age and skill level.  In the unlikely event that we are unable to place your child on a team, you will receive a full refund.
